Painted Oak Rocking Chair

Anyone have that one friend or relative that tries to pawn stuff on you that they no longer want but they actually don’t want to get rid of?

My person is my Mom. She’s always trying to give me stuff. I think it makes her feel better that she’s not really giving it away, but it’s going to good use.

Her latest item was this rocking chair. She says she bought it 20 years ago because she wanted a really nice, solid rocking chair to rock her grandchildren. She got to rock her first grandchild, my nephew, in it since they live close to him.

But, when my son was born she wanted me to take it…I didn’t want a rocking chair…and said no. Well, she asked me again when my daughter was born to take it. I didn’t really need it, but I figured why not. But the deal is I get to makeover anything she gives me.

So the oak rocking chair got a makeover. I decided I wanted to put it our sunroom. So of course it had to be white. Nothing special, just white.

So out came my Homeright paint sprayer again and that was it! I seriously don’t know how I went without one of these for so long! It made painting my kitchen cabinets so much easier and now this chair.

The chair now fits in with our decor in the sunroom and my Mom can enjoy rocking her grandchildren when she visits!
