About Just Call Me Homegirl

Meet Tara Boettger
Make your home Beautiful, but make sure it’s functional
Tara never wanted to live in a Raised Ranch home, which you might also call a split entry, but here she is. 11 years later and she has created a home that’s not only warm, cozy and beautiful…she made it functional for her and her family.
Tara has always been creative and hands on. She did her first craft show when she was 12 selling scrunchies and handmade potpourri crafts. She also attended collage with a double major in communications and theatre.
She learned from a very young age that you can always do it yourself. Her parents were avid DIYers out of necessity and taught her everything she knows.
When she was 24 she created “Controlled Chaos” her professional organizing business and was the youngest member of the National Association of Professional Organizing at the time. 2 years later, she incorporated Home Staging into her services and in 2009 she went all in and HomeGirl Home Staging was born. At networking events and around our community people would see her and say “You’re that Homegirl person. What’s your name again?”
Can you guess what she replied with? “You can Just Call Me Homegirl”
in 2012 her blog was started as a way to showcase her stagings, crafts, DIYs. In 2019 she turned in her staging cap and went fully into being Homegirl.

Tara’s Motto?
Our home doesn’t need to be perfect. It needs to be functional
