There is a lot of stress coming off my shoulders these past few weeks! Remember my big purge in my office/craftroom?

Well it’s all starting to take shape!

This was the before..when I was purging I was throwing anything craft related in this corner of my office. I wanted to start utilizing this more for my Etsy creations, DIY plans and of course crafting.

Pretty useless right?

Here is the after…

Doesn’t it just make you want to create something?

My favorite part is my beautiful pegboard. I love that I have everything organized, up off the table, but still visible.

So far it’s pretty much organized with everything I use to create for my Etsy store, but if I find it’s not working or I want something else, I can just take it down and and move things around. That’s the beauty of a pegboard!

Here’s how I did it:

Supplies: Affiliate links provided for your convenience. See my full disclosure here.

  • Pegboard – I got mine at Lowe’s for around $8 but Amazon has some metal ones that look fun too.
  • Choice of Paint
  • Scrap wood
  • Screw Driver
  • Level
  • Pegboard hooks/baskets

I started of by painting the pegboard with some leftover paint I had. I was thinking white but then decided to go with a similar color with wall so it blends in.

I then took two scrap pieces of wood, found the studs, leveled the board and secured them into the wall with screws.

Finally just attach the pegboard to the boards and your done!

I’m still getting used to to all of this and finding out what works and what doesn’t but I can’t wait to start creating!

Now jump on over to some of my friends blogs and see what they’re organizing!

  1. I love the Pegboard Tara! Gosh I wish I had an office for this reason. I need to keep my “business” and papers organized more. Right now my dining room buffet stores all my stuff.

Wow, what a difference, looks great. It really makes you want to create!!! You have motivated me to organize my craft room. I usually waste so much time finding my supplies then actually making anything. Again thank you!

  3. Tara, this is a dramatic before and after, it looks amazing! The peg board is awesome and it looks so much better painted gray than if you had left it white.

  5. Wow! What a transformation! EEEEK! I think we can all relate to the “before” picture in our craft rooms. Why does that spot always end up like that? Yours looks fabulous now and you’ve totally inspired me to tackle mine 😉 We have a pegboard on the wall in my son’s nursery and love how functional and decorative it is! Great job! -Rachael

  6. This looks awesome and so organized! I love a newly organized area and I love finding homes for everything! 🙂 Your white cubed shelves are awesome!

  7. I love pegboard. I think it’s funny that I never thought of using it IN the house.

Something I just did in my shed was hang all stainless steel pegboard. It was like $35 on Amazon. You can also get it in different colors and it is extremely durable. It’s going in my garage next and now that I’ve seen this, probably my office too!
