Since we don’t have a garage, and our bigger shed is across the backyard, I wanted a place to store seasonal items close to the house so we can access them easily.

In the summer we had bikes in our hallway so they’d be out of the rain, in the winter our snowblower we had to keep on our driveway under a tarp, that always seemed to be blowing off, so we had it ready when we needed it.

I was so excited when Keter reached out for a partnership, because I have been looking at Keter sheds for years.

I choose the Signature 11’x7′ shed in Walnut. This would give us some storage and fit the bikes, snow blower, sleds and other outside equipment that was taking up space in our home.

For the pad I opted for a gravel pad. Where we wanted to put it was very uneven, and I thought this would be the most economical way to go about it.

The shed was delivered close to where I wanted it but to put it together I needed to take the items out of the boxes because I had no idea where the manual was in the 3 heavy boxes it came in. I think that might be my biggest suggestion is for the box to be labeled that has the manual. (If I remember correctly it was in the bottom box.)

The day before I started putting it together I started laying out different pieces in piles as I was looking for the hardware. Everything was clearly marked and the instructions were great.

I ended up putting this whole thing together by myself expect for the heavy beam inside under the roof which my husband helped me place, and I also had him put pressure on the roof while I screwed in from the inside. The rest was all me!

By myself it took me 2 1/2 school days. Roughly about 10 hours to put it together.

The instructions were very straight forward, everything lined up correctly and it looks great.

I love the real wood look without the upkeep of wood.

I had left it up for a few days before putting anything in because we were going to have rain. Boy did we have rain! Big storms and wind and thankfully nothing got in. I was impressed.

Now that I have had it for 6 months and there is currently 18″ of snow on the top and surrounding it, I am also happy to report that it’s still standing, and nothing is getting in!
