This Labor Day weekend was much needed family time…with a few projects sprinkled in. I’m always grateful when my husband is home and we can spend time together as a family.
Yes, I tend to complain or get annoyed when he works so much and long hours. But I am also grateful for his work ethic, his drive and wanting to support our family now and create a future where we can enjoy retirement.
I’m grateful that when he comes home he is present. He’s not on his phone, he’s not trying to make plans, he’s home playing with our son, cuddling with our newborn and wanting to do things as a family.
This time of year always gets me thinking of the holiday season. What are we going to do, what traditions can we start with the kids, and also how grateful I am that I’m blessed with our little family.
I’m also grateful to you. My readers who keep coming back to read my little blog about my little house. This blog has grown so much over the years and it’s because of you. Thank you.
Thank you for reading, commenting, and showing me your projects you tackled with my tutorials.
I am really truly touched that you spend the time to follow along with me while I try to create a beautiful home and a blessed life.
Okay, enough with the sappiness…I’ll show you a little craft I did this weekend.
It really doesn’t need a tutorial but, it’s what I do.
I found these little wooden words at Michael’s on clearance. They were 30 cents or something like that.
I picked up a few and went into my scrap wood pile.
Found the perfect size piece of wood and stained it with Rust-oleum’s Drift Wood Stain.
I found some dark gray acrylic paint in my puppies and painted the wooden word.
When everything was dried, I glued on the “grateful” and that was it.
A perfect little sign to express how I feel everyday.
