Real Fall Hydrangea Wreath

This year my Hydrangea bush was beautiful! So many large and colorful blooms thanks to the mild winter. As the weather is starting to cool down the flowers are turning the most perfect fall colors so of course I could not let them go to waste!

So every few days I started cutting off the blooms that were just about to turn brown making sure I was not cutting off next years bloom since it’s an Endless Summer Hydrangea.

The first time I brought them in I added them to a few vessels/crocks. I don’t add water. I remove the leaves and let them dry in place. And they do so perfectly!

The next time I went out to grab the ones that were about to turn I added them a big basket that I also put gourds in that I bought from kids who were selling them on the side of the road. I absolutely love how it looks! It’s the perfect fall centerpiece for our large table.

The next time I went out to chop off some blooms I took a grapevine wreath with me. I love grapevine wreaths because you don’t necessarily need to glue anything in. You can just shove florals, faux florals etc right into it and they usually stay.

That’s what I did and it came out so beautiful! Take a look!

Didn’t it turn out so great? No, I did not spray it and it will dry exactly how it is. If you have any stems falling out you can also just secure it with floral wire or a dab of hot glue. I think it’s the perfect fall wreath!
