Fandeliers – Do They Actually Work?

We live in a raised ranch with our main heat source, a wood stove in our downstairs. Which means for the house to get warm we need that hot air to come up the stairs. When we moved in 11 years ago there was a typical ceiling fan in our entry to help bring the hot air up and into our main living area.

This ceiling fan was fine, but a year ago the fan stopped working after the cord was ripped off by the refrigerator delivery men.

It was time for an upgrade! We needed a fan but I wanted something that looked like an entry light. Enter a fandelier! They have been growing in popularity especially in kids rooms since they’re smaller and with bunk beds a little safer! Also in living rooms because they look like normal lights but with the added bonus of a ceiling fan.

I went to Lowes.com to search for a fandelier that fit my style, wasn’t too flush mount so it looked like an actual entry light.

Here is what I found!

I love the simple and rustic style and that it also matches my dining room light.

There were so many different styles of fandeliers to choose from. Some very modern, elegant and traditional. It would be very easy to find one that would work in your own home.

But…does this little fan put out any air? Here is my instagram reel to show you just how much!

It comes with a remote too. With the remote you can turn on and off the light, the fan and also reverse the fan depending on the season! No more trying to get on a ladder to flip the switch on the side of a ceiling light when the seasons change.

What do you think? Would you use a fandelier in your home?

I have put together a collection of fandeliers that I think would look great in any room here.
