Bench Makeover

If you read my last post about the big purge, you’ll remember I am all about organizing my office right now. That includes creating and organizing my project station. As I was cleaning and opening boxes, I realized the abundance of craft “stuff” I have that I have bought because it was on sale or because I thought I needed it.

We all have some of that right? So while cleaning out my office I just started throwing all my project/craft items in the corner on a table and throwing it in drawers of a small cabinet. This is the outcome.

I have made it my mission to organize and create a space that I love and is functional where I can work pieces. I have also made it my mission not to purchase any craft items for the month of January. I must use what I already have.

If you’d like to follow along with my process this month, and even try to create an organized space for yourself make sure you are signed up for my newsletter so you don’t miss a post!

On a side note, this bench I received from a client has been sitting under pile in my office since June, waiting for me to bring it back to life.

Finally I tackled it and it was complete in less than an hour. Now it’s ready to be a beautiful and functional piece in our home. Just another item checked off my master list!

Your bench is beautiful! I have been wanting to get at my craft room, but not sure where to start. I have been so sick, and I really wanted this to get done this month. I am looking forward to your suggestions.

Wow! That's so cute! You did it in less than an hour? Amazing!

I put off my chair painting project all last summer, but finally on the last nice day in October I just bit the bullet and got it done in one afternoon. And now every time I go in the kitchen I enjoy seeing them so much. Redoing furniture can be a daunting job, but it's so worth it.

Great job on the bench!
