Real Christmas trees 101

Before Heading out

Measure your ceilings and the space you are putting your tree. Take notice on how far out your ideal tree would be.

Cutting your own

If you are cutting your own, bring a handsaw. Tools might be limited.

NEedles

When you find a tree, feel the needles. Some are very sharp and they will hurt to touch, but some might be so soft that they will not hold ornaments well.

Trim

Before bringing the tree inside, trim off some of the top pieces to create a space for the tree topper.

Trim Bottom

Now trim the bottom to make room for the tree stand.

Blow

Blow off your tree to get rid of bugs, loose needles and leaves.
