Rustic and Lace Thanksgiving Tablescape

I’m a pretty simple person. You probably know that by looking at my decor! I’m a neutral girl and not too formal. When I got the opportunity to share a Thanksgiving tablescape with some amazing bloggers I jumped at the chance! I have actually never done a tablescape of any kind even though it’s really standard here in blogland. I wanted to do something rustic and traditional to go with my decor but I also wanted to do something out of my comfort zone and really unexpected.

Rustic-thanksgiving I got the idea of instead of having a runner down the middle of the table or even placemats, I would create two runners but place them under the plates to use as one long placemat. This created a “natural wood runner” in the middle of the table. I then wanted to go a little more out of the norm and use lace as the runners. Lace-Tablescape-Thanksgiving I scoured Fabric.com and found this really lovely lace in a bright white. I knew it would be perfect. By the way…Fabric.com is awesome! I fell in love with so many fabrics on their site I can’t wait to figure out more projects so I can order more! I loved seeing this table come together. I purchased distressed cream chargers at Hobby Lobby that added a slight contrast with the white lace. Thanksgiving-chargers I gathered all things Fall and styled them in the middle of the table create the overall look. This was really fun and I can see many tablescapes in the future! So beautiful, Tara! I prefer a more simple approach to decor too. I think it gives you the chance to really take in and appreciate everything about the space. Your table is so lovely. The idea of using fabric as one long placemat is genius! And the lace is such a pretty touch!

I love how you used two table runners and that they're lace. So pretty!
